Workshop Recap: Preparing for Life’s Inevitable Journey
On Saturday, 4 January 2025, MGM hosted another insightful workshop that brought together both men and women. The session concluded with a tour of our facilities and light refreshments.
The workshop focused on an essential yet often overlooked topic: preparing for death. Participants learned about Islamic funeral rites, what to do when someone passes away, the legal steps involved, and whom to contact during such times.
Brother Ahmad Kabbout, funeral director at the Werribee Islamic Centre (Melbourne Grand Mosque), provided a hands-on demonstration of the Islamic washing process. This practical session gave attendees a clear understanding of a process every individual will one day encounter, offering a chance to reflect and prepare.
